BBC 1 ‘Home is Where the Art is’

I was thrilled to appear in an episode of the

BBC art show

‘Home is Where the Art is’

I was one of three artists competing to win a commission for the home of an art buyer. Unfortunately this episode is no longer on iPlayer.

But you can see the images below of ‘Stargaze Spiral’ the piece I made during the course of the BBC show

There was also an article about me and my work and the TV programme in the Yorkshire Post, Wednesday July 1st 2020

Stargaze Spiral

Large circular unframed wall hanging, wet felted with merino wools and several hundred fabric pieces. Richly embellished on top with beads & semi-precious stones and hand embroidery.

Many, many hours were taken to make this piece

Stargaze Spiral, central portion

This piece was inspired by images of spiral galaxies,it is a loose interpretation expressing the energy and shape of a galaxy and made to tie in with the buyers home, should they choose it.
